Shipping & installation

Prepare the route before the cargo moves.

Export success depends on more than factory completion. Packing, transport, receiving, storage, lifting, foundations, utilities and installation responsibilities must work as one sequence.

Decision framework

Make the destination ready for the first package—not only the finished building.

International projects often lose time at the boundaries between factory, forwarder, receiving team and installer. A clear delivery plan identifies package sizes and weights, container sequence, risk and cost allocation, unloading equipment, protected storage, installation order and the records required at every handover.

HabKube can prepare factory packaging, labels and product information within the agreed scope. Freight contracts, insurance, customs, crane operations, site safety, foundations, utilities and local installation approval remain with the responsible specialist parties.

Pack by sequenceLabels and indexes help installers find the next required component.
Inspect at handoverCondition records separate factory, transit and site events.
Define site boundariesFoundations, utilities and local work receive named owners.

Choose the shipping format with the product configuration

Flat-pack panels, expandable units, completed modules, tent frames and awning components use container volume differently. Buyers should compare delivered scope, packing density, handling equipment, damage exposure and the labor required to reach the installed condition.

Request a proposed loading plan and package list for the actual order rather than relying on a general units-per-container claim.
  • Chargeable volume and package dimensions
  • Handling and protection requirements
  • Installation labor after arrival

02

Align Incoterms, insurance and handover evidence

Write the selected Incoterm with its named place and current rule version into the contract. Confirm who arranges carriage, insurance, export or import formalities, loading and unloading. The trade term does not replace technical packing requirements or define installation responsibility.

Record package condition, container or seal information and carrier handovers so the receiving team has a usable evidence trail if damage or shortage appears.
  • Named delivery point and risk transfer
  • Insurance and claims contacts
  • Transport and handover documents

Release foundations, access and utilities before arrival

The destination team should verify ground or foundation readiness, final levels, drainage, utility points, delivery access, crane or forklift setup, storage and weather constraints. Product drawings can support this work, but qualified local professionals should design and accept destination works.

An early site-readiness checklist should include the tolerances and information that the installer needs before placing the first module or structural bay.
  • Survey and foundation acceptance
  • Vehicle and lifting access
  • Utility and drainage connection points

Install through a controlled sequence and closeout plan

A site method statement should connect the current drawings, package order, lifting, temporary stability, sealing, local service work, inspection points and weather response. Unapproved cutting or field modification can affect structure, weather control, finish and warranty.

After installation, separate product completion, local trade tests, commissioning, punch-list closure and owner handover. Update final records to the accepted configuration.

  • Hold points before concealed work
  • Commissioning and final owner records

Before dispatch, confirm the complete delivery chain.

The strongest plan gives each handover a responsible party, required record and response to exceptions.
